Moving Beyond Tokenism
The art & science of neurodiversity - affirming feeding support
31st May 2025 Melbourne Face to Face 7hrs CPD
Welcome to The Neurodivergent Table: Pull up a chair, balance ball, wobble cushion or simply stand and join us to learn about the art and science of neurodiversity-affirming paediatric feeding, eating and nutrition care.
From early feeding struggles, to mealtime distress, higher rates of feeding and eating disorders, our neurodivergent community face a diverse range of feeding and eating differences that can impact nutrition and wellbeing. With traditional approaches often falling short, there is an urgent need for health professionals to bravely challenge the status quo and radically rethink what best practice feeding and eating care looks and feels like for neurodivergent children, young people, their families and caregivers.
If you are ready to be part of the change. Join us at The Neurodivergent Table for a neurodivergent-led deep dive into the art and science of neurodiversity-affirming paediatric feeding, eating and nutrition care.
Who is it for ?
'Moving Beyond Tokenism' is a brand new, neurodivergent-led professional development workshop designed for all allied health or medical professionals involved in supporting the feeding, eating, and nutritional wellbeing of neurodivergent children, young people, and their families and caregivers.
This training is the brainchild of neurodivergent paediatric dietitians and neurodiversity advocates; Natasha Lane and Anna Rose. Combining their extensive lived, clinical, and research experiences with their passion for disrupting the status quo, Natasha and Anna have teamed up to create a comprehensive training program that explores not only the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ of neurodiversity-affirming feeding and eating care, but dives deep into the (sometimes messy, sometimes murky) ‘how’.
Whether you are a dietitian, psychologist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist, doctor, nurse, or any other feeding professional; if you are working with neurodivergent children, young people and their families and carers then this training is going to be right up your alley. Whether your traditional feeding toolkit is just not hitting the mark; or you feel unsure how exactly you should begin deconstructing neuronormativity in your practice; or even if you are game-ready but looking to level up your feeding practice from being neurodiversity-informed to authentically affirming, this training is designed to help you step bravely into the future of neurodiversity-affirming feeding, eating and nutrition care.
Meet the Team
Anna and Natasha are two neurodivergent dietitians with a passion for neurodiversity-affirming paediatric feeding, eating and nutrition care.
Want to join our face-to-face training
but can’t make it to Melbourne?
We have some good news: we are working on plans to take our neurodivergent table on the road. We get that life right now is both crazy busy and wildly expensive, and that a trip to Melbourne for those living farther afield may simply not be on the cards.
So we would love to know: Where do you think we should set the neurodivergent table up next?
